About Dr. Mary
I was born in Woodbury, NJ, and moved to Plano in 1995. I have a younger brother and sister and I love spending time with my family (I have 23 first cousins). I recently married my best friend, and the love of my life, John. We now call McKinney home. I grew up in Plano until the end of 2000 when my dad’s job transferred us to Houston. While in Plano, I played recreation soccer and then advanced to a traveling club soccer team. I also played soccer for Plano Senior HS my freshman year. As you can see soccer and athletics are my passion.
When we moved to The Woodlands, I played club soccer for the Challenge Soccer Club and also for The Woodlands HS. I was recruited by several colleges but chose to stay in Texas and played four years at Stephen F. Austin State University. Our team at SFA won 3 conference titles and one bid to the NCAA tournament. I continued to play soccer for Parker College of Chiropractic and helped Parker win 2 championships at the Chiro-Games, where most of the Chiropractor colleges in the US compete in a Olympic style event..
As an athlete, I learned the importance of being healthy and staying physically fit. Believe me, during the four years of NCAA Division 1 soccer, I learned the benefits of eating, sleeping and staying in shape. There was some pain at times, but the trainers and medical staff taught me the importance of compassion. This is when I decided to become a Chiropractor. So, I understand and likely have experienced the pain that my patient’s experience.
